About me

I am currently employed as a research assistant at the Institute of Applied Geometry of the Johannes-Kepler-University in Linz, Austria.

Previously, I have studied Math (Staatsexamen, BSc, MSc) and Computer Science (Staatsexamen) at the Julius-Maximilians-University in Wuerzburg, Germany, and worked there as a research assistant at the Professorship of Computer Science Education.

Research Interests

My research touches the fields of isogeometric analysis, computational geometry and computer-aided geometric design. In particular, I am intersted in freeform splines, symmetric spline structures and (symmetric) subdivision schemes.

Hobbies & Interests

I am a long time player of the physical card game Magic: The Gathering, mostly in the formats Standard, Pioneer and Legacy. I am an active member of my local Legacy community and have competed in many tournaments in the past, from the regional to the European level.

I regularly exercise by running and have competed with the team of the department of mathematics at the university of Würzburg in the Residenzlauf, as well as in the JKU Campus Run.

In addition, I also enjoy reading, playing boardgames and programming.
